Description
This kyusu (teapot) by Shusaku Taku is crafted from Bizen ware, a tradition that has matured through its close connection to the continuous history of human activity, shaped by the artist who uses the various inspirations of daily life as his yeast. It is a bancha teapot of the perfect size for everyday use. Perhaps reflecting his sincere dedication to ceramics, the work is executed with great care down to the finest details, such as the body and the spout. Carefully selected clay has been used, and the exquisite hidasuki (fire-cord) pattern, with fine lines concealed within thicker ones, is truly magnificent. Using this for your tea time will surely turn your moments of relaxation into something even more wonderful.
