Description

This Bizen beer mug is by Masao Akiya, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works overflowing with his own unique originality within a new spirit. The characteristic base construction, which allows you to identify him as a pupil of Jun Isezaki at a glance, is quite intriguing. Very fine, powdery "goma" (ash glaze) is scattered across the entire piece, artfully obscuring the vivid scarlet clay surface and creating a tasteful landscape. Once moistened, the scarlet components in the clay will brighten up instantly, sure to delight the owner every time it is used. Paper box
