Description
This is a new Bizen ware plate by Kazuki Nakamura, a master craftsman who follows in the footsteps of his father, Makoto Nakamura, and grandfather, Rokuro Nakamura, both legendary masters of sake ware. While inheriting the lineage of these renowned artists, Kazuki brings his own unique sensibility to this piece, setting it apart from the styles of his father and grandfather. The plate retains the deep, captivating scarlet hue that enchants sake lovers, while the hand-beaten technique imparts a soft, earthen quality. The signature scarlet of the Nakamura family truly comes to life when dampened; we recommend soaking the plate in water before use to protect it and reveal its magnificent, vibrant color. The clay is exceptionally fine-grained, ensuring that it will become smoother and more refined with each use.
