Description
This is a brand new Bizen beer mug, just fresh from the kiln by popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, a former apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. This latest piece from the early summer 2018 firing is an extra-large mug crafted to highlight the quality of Bizen clay and surpass the performance of glass mugs. It is a rare, extra-large size for a Bizen piece, holding approximately 850ml, comparable to a standard beer mug. True to Mr. Koriki's style, it is made with high-quality Bizen clay, and its smooth, fine-grained texture creates a finer beer foam, significantly enhancing the flavor. Chilling the mug before use allows the clay to absorb moisture, further bringing out the beauty of its earthen texture and "goma" (ash glaze). With its affordable price, this is a perfect masterpiece for the hot summer months and an ideal gift.
