Description

These newly kiln-fired Bizen beer glasses are the work of Shusaku Taku, an artist who shapes his pieces by fermenting the emotions of daily life, drawing inspiration from the Bizen pottery tradition that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people throughout history. True to Taku-sensei’s style of carefully crafting each piece to resonate with the heart of the user, this work is meticulously detailed down to the finest points. It features the austere *hi-dasuki* (fire-cord) markings characteristic of this particular firing, reminiscent of antique Bizen ware, and takes on an indescribably deep and tasteful character when the surface becomes moistened. The rim is skillfully thinned to ensure a pleasant mouthfeel, allowing you to fully enjoy the charms of drinking beer from a Bizen vessel. Crafted to be the perfect size—neither too big nor too small—these glasses make a wonderful gift as well as a great addition to your own home. Paper box
