Description
This is a new sake flask by Toru Ichikawa, who studied under Ryuichi Kakurezaki and made a sensational debut. It is a highly original and exceptional work that reflects Mr. Ichikawa’s signature style of giving shape to his ceaselessly overflowing ideas through the supreme medium of clay. The "Bubbles" series is known for its beautiful combination of effervescent platinum glaze and gold-painted lines, but this piece has been reborn as "God is love: new Bubbles," with an even more polished and bold expression characteristic of Mr. Ichikawa. Particularly striking is the "LOVE" lettering in red glaze, as indicated in the title; the red glaze intertwined with the gold paint evokes a sensuality reminiscent of a living creature. This sake flask allows one to fully enjoy Mr. Ichikawa’s philosophical themes and bold glaze techniques.
