Description

Tomio Ochi is a relative of Anjin Abe.
He was an office worker, but he loved art.
After retiring from the company, he studied pottery as a student of Anjin Abe.
He learned the fire control methods of old Bizen from Anjin Abe.
In this "Hanaire" (flower vase), I feel the essence of the sculpture and oil painting he has learned thus far.

He was born in Ehime Prefecture, Japan, in 1949.
He became a disciple of Anjin Abe in 1976.
He built a kiln in Ushimado, Okayama Prefecture, Japan, in 1998.
