Description
This is a Shino Guinomi that Rakuzan II fired in Kujiri, Gifu Prefecture, between 1967 and 1968.
Bizen ware does not use glaze, whereas Shino ware does.
I believe the effect of whether or not glaze is used is significant, but he did not.
This Guinomi is as beautiful as those by a potter who has been making Shino ware for a long time.
The beautiful white glaze turns orange at the finger marks and edges.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1910.
He became the second Rakuzan in 1930.
He passed away in 1996.
