Description
This is a flower vase from when Moriyasu Masamune went by the name Kengo.
It is an early work from 30 to 40 years ago, but I am amazed by the incredibly powerful design.
It looks like a flower vase made by a potter with 40 or 50 years of experience.
The lug handles, which are said to be very difficult to attach, are perfectly executed in this piece.
It features a beautiful scarlet clay color and *kase-goma* (stony ash glaze) throughout.
He was born in 1954 in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture.
He graduated from the Okayama Prefectural Bizen Ceramics School in 1973.
He passed away in 2006.
