Description
Makoto Nakamura is the eldest son of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
He is also skilled at making sake ware, just like Rokuro Nakamura.
This guinomi beautifully expresses the red color using the Nakamura family's original firing method.
When drinking sake, the red color becomes even more beautiful when wet.
Traces of his fingernails are left on the waist and interior, reminiscent of him happily turning the potter's wheel.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1949.
In 1971, he became an apprentice to his father, Rokuro Nakamura.
He became an independent ceramic artist in 1975.
