Description

He inherits the skills and spirit of Sozan Kaneshige.
The simple, unadorned design highlights the beauty of Bizen clay.
He believes that a piece is only completed in the hands of the user.
This mug was fired at the front of the noborigama (climbing kiln).
At that position, a large amount of goma (ash glaze) adheres to the surface.
This creates a strong luster on the piece.

He was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1970.
He became a disciple of Sozan Kaneshige in 1989.
Following the death of Sozan Kaneshige, he became a disciple of Yuhou Kaneshige.
He began his independent career as a ceramic artist in 1996.
