Description

Takashi Soga researches old Bizen ware and uses it as inspiration for his creative work.
He does not use any kiln tools made with modern chemical materials.
He seeks to recreate the environment in his studio where old Bizen ware was originally made.
His work, produced in this unique environment, bears a striking resemblance to old Bizen ware.
This is his new dish, which was just fired in July 2020.
Due to the influence of his special kiln, many of his works feature a bright red clay color.

He was born in Tokyo in 1984.
He became a disciple of Jun Isezaki in 2009.
He built a kiln in Bizen City in 2012 and began his career as a ceramist the following year.
