Description
This is a Guinomi made by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake ware.
The red clay color on the front becomes even more beautiful when moistened with sake during use.
The Nakamura family's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
I presume this Guinomi was fired when he was around 70 years old.
It has been used, giving the entire piece a soft texture, and I can feel the affection of its previous owner.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1914.
He studied under Toyo Kaneshige starting around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
