Description
Koichiro Isezaki is Jun Isezaki's eldest son.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama".
The overlapping goma ash glazes, which evoke the flames blowing through the kiln, are wonderful.
The central part has a rich, dark brown color, and the area where the refractory clay was placed looks like it is under a spotlight.
The design resembles a smaller tea bowl (chawan).
It is very quiet and calm, yet possesses a beautiful, spherical form.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in New York and has been active since 2000.
