Description
This is a Guinomi made by Rokuro Nakamura, who is renowned as a master of sake ware.
The red clay color on the front becomes even more beautiful when moistened with sake.
The Nakamura family's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
I presume this Guinomi was fired when he was around 80 years old.
It features colors typical of Rokuro Nakamura, such as green Goma and a light orange clay tone.
It has been rarely used and is in like-new condition.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1914.
He studied under Toyo Kaneshige starting around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004
