Description
Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
There is a hole in the middle of the anagama for adding small pieces of firewood.
The firewood added during the firing process created the black flame patterns on this work.
This design was created by splitting a clay ball in half or pulling it by hand.
This Guinomi is a very large sake cup, yet it is easy to hold and light in weight.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in NY and has been active since 2000.
