Description

He inherits the skills and spirit of Sozan Kaneshige.
The simple and unadorned design highlights the beauty of Bizen clay.
He believes that a work is only completed in the hands of its user.
This Sakazuki was fired in a location with intense Yohen effects.
The entire Sakazuki is covered in black charcoal Yohen.
However, half of the body displays a beautiful red clay color with a Kasegoma texture reminiscent of wood grain.
His new design is inspired by Ido tea bowls and is unlike anything seen before.

He was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1970.
He became a disciple of Sozan Kaneshige in 1989.
After the passing of Sozan Kaneshige, he became a disciple of Yuhou Kaneshige.
He became independent as a ceramic artist in 1996.
