Description

He is a disciple of Jun Isezaki.
He learned about Jun Isezaki's innovative designs and Anagama firing techniques.
He creates works using standard Bizen clay, applying black clay after the pieces have dried.
"Kuro" (black) is made using clay with a high iron content.
A small amount of cobalt is added after dissolving it in water to create a liquid slip.
The black clay applied to the work transforms into a beautiful black color when fired.
The natural glaze runs down to the bottom, which may make this Tokkuri slightly unstable.
Please place it on a thick coaster or mat.

He was born in Chiba Prefecture in 1988.
He became a student of Jun Isezaki in 2013.
He became an independent potter in 2017 and built a kiln in Ibaraki Prefecture in 2019.
