Description

Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
This guinomi was fired by him in March 2022.
There is a hole in the middle of the anagama for small firewood.
The firewood added during the firing process created the black fire patterns on this piece.
It is a vibrant example of yohen, featuring colors different from those produced in a nobori-gama kiln.
The design resembles a smaller chawan.
It is very quiet and calm, yet beautifully spherical.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in New York and has been active since 2000.
