Description

Kazuki Nakamura is the grandson of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
Like his grandfather, he is also skilled at crafting sake ware.
This piece was fired in April 2022.
This guinomi beautifully showcases the red hue achieved through the Nakamura family's unique firing technique.
The bold firing pattern and vibrant scarlet color are magnificent.
When used for sake, the bright scarlet tones become even more beautiful as they interact with the liquid.
This guinomi represents his new endeavor into square, cylindrical designs.
It is reminiscent of the small mukozuke dishes found in antique Shino ware.

He was born in 1980 in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, as the eldest son of Makoto Nakamura.
He graduated from Okayama University in 2003.
He established himself as an independent ceramic artist in 2006.
