Description
Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
This guinomi was fired by him in August 2022.
There is a hole in the middle of the anagama for small firewood.
The firewood added during the firing created a black fire pattern on this piece.
It is a vibrant yohen with a different character from the nobori-gama kiln.
The design resembles a smaller chawan.
It is very quiet and calm, yet beautifully spherical.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in NY and began his career in 2000.
