Description

As a disciple of Sozan Kaneshige, he learned not only technique, but also respect for clay and the spirit of ceramics.
The circular red clay-colored area on the front of the piece indicates that this Guinomi is made of very good clay.
The Yohen also has a very nice color and feels like an example of "Haikaburi-Yohen".
The ashes melt and harden into a black glass-like substance, which is called "Namako-hada" (sea cucumber skin) and is highly prized.

He was born in 1964 in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, as the eldest son of Isso Koyama II.
He graduated from a junior college of art and design in 1984 and became a disciple of Sozan Kaneshige.
In 1990, after six years of training, he became an independent ceramic artist.
