Description

Yuho Kaneshige is the third son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He inherited the Inbe house and kiln from his father.
He originally presented traditional Kaneshige-style works.
However, around 2018, he embarked on a new challenge.
He demolished the kiln he inherited from his father and built a more primitive one.
This Guinomi is a piece that was fired in that primitive kiln.
This Guinomi features both the elegant colors of the Kaneshige style and the bold, strong colors of old Bizen.
This Guinomi was fired in November 2022.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1950 as the third son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He became his father's apprentice in 1975.
He became an independent ceramic artist in 1980.
