Description
Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
This guinomi was fired in March 2023.
This work was made using special white clay collected in the Imbe area.
He fired it without glaze, but the white clay component produced a fire pattern with a different color than traditional Bizen ware.
The outer surface has a luster as if it were coated in glass.
Originally yellow or brown "goma" (ash glaze), which is close to gold, it changed to a muddy white or transparent blue.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, the eldest son of Jun Isezaki in 1974.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in NY and has been active since 2000.
