Description
This is a Guinomi made by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake ware.
The red clay color on the front makes it even more beautiful when wet with sake.
The Nakamura clan's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
I presume this Guinomi was fired when he was around 60 years old.
Unlike his later works, which often use bright clay colors, this red clay color is natural.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1914.
He studied under Toyo Kaneshige from around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
