Description
Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
This Guinomi was fired by him in July 2023.
There is a hole in the middle of the anagama for small firewood.
The firewood added during the firing process created the black fire patterns on this piece.
It is a vibrant Youhen (kiln transmutation) with colors distinct from those of a nobori-gama climbing kiln.
The design resembles a miniature Chawan tea bowl.
It is very quiet and serene, yet possesses a beautiful, spherical form.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in NY and has been active since 2000.
