Description

He presents his work in two ways: traditional Bizen ware style and black style.
This Guinomi is made in the black style.
It is a technique involving the application of mud containing a small amount of cobalt, which has been popular since 2000.
Black-style pieces feature a beautiful black clay color with a coarse luster and bright cobalt blue flame patterns.
However, in this Guinomi, the black has almost entirely transformed into indigo, which is quite unusual.
The black color remains in the base, and in areas where the clay is thin, a beautiful black hue is visible.

He was born in 1970 in Fukuoka Prefecture.
He began working as a potter in Okayama Prefecture in 1991.
He became a disciple of Yuichi Yamamoto in 1995.
He became an independent potter in 2001.
