Description

He presents his work in two ways: traditional Bizen ware style and black style.
This Guinomi is made in black style.
It is a technique using mud containing a small amount of cobalt, which has been popular since 2000.
Black-style pieces feature a beautiful black clay color with a rugged sheen and a bright cobalt blue fire pattern.
However, in this Guinomi, the black has transformed almost entirely into indigo, which is quite unusual.
The black remains in the base, and in areas where the clay is thin, a beautiful black color can be seen.

He was born in 1970 in Fukuoka Prefecture.
He began working as a potter in Okayama Prefecture in 1991.
He has been a disciple of Yuichi Yamamoto since 1995.
He became an independent potter in 2001.
