Description
Koichiro Isezaki is Jun Isezaki's eldest son.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
This yunomi was fired in November 2023.
There is a hole in the middle of the anagama for adding small pieces of firewood.
The firewood added during the firing process created the black fire patterns on this piece.
It is a vibrant example of yohen, featuring colors distinct from those produced in a noborigama kiln.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in NY and has been active since 2000.
