Description
This Guinomi was created by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake ware.
The red clay color on the front becomes even more beautiful when moistened with sake.
The Nakamura family's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
I presume this Guinomi was fired when he was around 80 years old.
I have the impression that this Guinomi is fired harder than his usual work.
It has a dark red color from a firm firing, rather than his typical red clay tone.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1914.
He studied under Toyo Kaneshige starting around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
