Description
Makoto Nakamura is the eldest son of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
He is also skilled at making sake vessels, just like Rokuro Nakamura.
The hallmark of the Nakamura clan is the red clay color.
However, this work was fired in such intense flames that it lost its red clay color.
The melted ash has solidified, transforming into something resembling a black stone.
A hint of the red clay color remains on the inside, despite the fierce firing.
I am impressed by the power of his clay.
This piece was purchased new and has been stored unused by the owner.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1949.
