Description

This is a Guinomi made by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake vessels.
The Nakamura family's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
Judging from the design and the wooden box, I assume he worked on this after the age of 80.
It is quite large, but very easy to grip, as is typical of Rokuro Nakamura, who loved to drink.
The gentle scarlet color of the Hidasuki and the wild body may seem unbalanced, but I think they go very well together.
There is a part of the electric kiln that can burn wood, and some of the shading may have come from that, or perhaps some of it is like Goma.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1914.
He was taught by Toyo Kaneshige from around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
