Description
This is a Yunomi made by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake ware.
I would guess that this Yunomi is from his later years.
The clay color of the piece as a whole is not his characteristic red, but a subdued brown clay color, similar to that of Toyo Kaneshige.
The Nakamura clan's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1914.
He was taught by Toyo Kaneshige from around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
