Description
He inherits the skills of his father, Sozan Kaneshige.
I feel Sozan Kaneshige's powerful and intense design in his work.
And since they have valued clay for generations, they have great clay.
This Guinomi was fired in April 2024.
He fired it in a spot where Yohen could accumulate at the back of the Noborigama kiln.
A large amount of heated charcoal poured over the work, forming a lava-like fire pattern.
However, the Bizen clay did not lose its heat and retained a beautiful red clay color.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1945 as the eldest son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He graduated from Kyoto University in 1969.
He became his father's disciple.
