Description
Makoto Nakamura is the eldest son of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
He is also skilled at making sake vessels, just like Rokuro Nakamura.
This Guinomi was fired in October 2024.
The characteristic of the Nakamura Clan is the red clay color.
However, this work was fired in such intense flames that it lost its red clay color.
The melted ash has solidified and transformed like a black stone.
A hint of red clay color remains inside, despite the fierce flames.
I am impressed by the power of his clay.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1949.
In 1971, he began an apprenticeship under his father, Rokuro Nakamura.
He has been working as an independent ceramic artist since 1975.
