Description

Jun Isazaki is a Living National Treasure in Bizen ware. (The fifth person in Bizen ware)

The fired pieces feature brown or white gradations layered over a bright red base.
He wraps rice straw around his work before firing.
The color and pattern of the rice straw vary from section to section due to the effect of the natural glaze.
