Description

He inherits the skills of his father, Sozan Kanesige.
I feel Sozan Kanesige's powerful and intense design from his work.
And since they have valued clay for generations, they have excellent clay.
He fired this in a spot at the back of the climbing kiln where yohen (kiln transmutation) effects could be collected.
A large amount of hot charcoal poured onto the piece, forming a lava-like fire pattern.
You can see the color of the clay through the gaps between the rounded ash.
It is a blue-gray color like Aobizen due to the influence of strong flames.
This Guinomi was fired about 5 years ago.
It is an unused piece that has been carefully stored by a collector.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1945 as the eldest son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He graduated from Kyoto University in 1969.
He became his father's disciple.
