Description

This is a Bizen black *kuzui-nomi* (sake cup) by Kazuhiro Mori, the eldest son of the Bizen prodigy Togaku Mori, who inherits the tradition while breathing his own unique life into his work. The piece leaves a mysterious impression, blending the sharpness of its glass-like diamond design with the soft warmth of the clay. Despite the stylish diamond-cut pattern, the warmth of its handmade nature and a gentle black that seems to envelop everything give the piece a mildness that creates its unique character. When held, the pattern acts as a grip, making it easy to handle and embodying the beauty of functional art.

Signed wooden box (double-slat lid)
Diameter 7.0cm x Diameter 6.7cm x Height 7.0cm
