While the cylindrical form may appear orthodox at first glance, it is executed with meticulous care from the foot to the rim.
The surface features vigorous, swirling incised lines, but in three places near the bottom, the clay has been shaved away, as if to erase those lines.
When held, these spots provide the perfect resting place for your thumb, allowing you to feel the smooth, shaved clay texture against your fingertips.
