Hello everyone, how are you doing?
Following up from the day before yesterday, today I would like to introduce the new works by Mashiro Aiga.
The pieces on the left and center of the photo are "Ibe-te" (a style of Bizen ware), featuring a sophisticated, deep black color that looks as if it has been boiled down from purple.
The piece on the right is "Bizen-te," which is lovely with its black-rimmed "goma" (ash glaze) and reddish clay character.

Despite having been fired thoroughly, they retain their refined forms, proving they have truly passed the artist's rigorous standards.

This Bizen-te piece has a wonderful red color. The clay surface around the goma absorbed the ash well, creating a black border while forming a drip of ash glaze.

For the Bizen-te, careful attention was also paid to the overall gradation, creating a scenery that never tires the eye.

This is the Ibe-te piece. The inside of the foot is not coated with slip, emphasizing the contrast between the texture of the "chirimenshiwa" (crepe-like wrinkles) and the Ibe-te finish.
These works are true to Mashiro Aiga's style, aiming to balance rich aesthetic scenery with the flavorful character of the clay,
possessing both a strength in the firing and a natural variation in the earthiness.
In addition to the three items shown, we have received one more Ibe-te piece and one more Bizen-te piece;
if you contact us, we would be happy to send you detailed images.
Please do take a look at Aiga's work.
