Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
February saw temperatures rise and suddenly drop,
but now that we have entered March, I feel there have been many days that feel like spring.
Now, a wonderful exhibition perfect for such spring excursion weather is going to be held.
"Kozan Miyagawa: 100th Anniversary of His Passing – Mushiage-yaki and Meiji Era Ceramics" will be held at the Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art starting March 18th.
Kozan Miyagawa was born in Makuzu-ga-hara, Kyoto, and entered the path of ceramics;
he was also a person who provided guidance for Mushiage-yaki, a type of pottery from Okayama Prefecture.
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of his passing, approximately 250 items will be exhibited, including Mushiage-yaki from its inception to the present day,
ceramics from the Meiji era that were influenced by Satsuma-yaki, and high-relief works.
We invite you all to please come and visit.
