Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
I would like to introduce some new arrivals by Mashiro Aiga.
Today, we have an Ibe sake cup featuring a beautiful, well-melted yellow "goma" (sesame ash glaze).
While the visual impact is intense, the form itself is designed with ease of use in mind;
you can feel Mr. Aiga's thoughtful touch in details like the subtle flare of the rim and the wheel marks that make it comfortable to hold.

The surface, resembling melted bitter chocolate due to the slip coating, is quite striking.

The reverse side of the sake cup on the left.
The ash has also affected the slip, making it appear darker near the areas of yellow goma.

The interior is filled with a generous flow of ash glaze, creating a captivating landscape.

The foot is left uncoated by design, showcasing the raw, textured quality of the clay beneath.
