The traveling exhibition of Bizen ware, held in Ako City, Kamigori Town, and Bizen City, is finally coming to Bizen City. Titled "Bizen Ware: Evolving Traditions," this exhibition showcases materials discovered in the Tobi-Seiban region, divided into three periods: the Heian-Kamakura period, the Nanbokucho-Muromachi period, and the Azuchi-Momoyama-Edo period. You can observe the transitions of Bizen ware throughout its long history across these eras. In Bizen City, the exhibition will be held from Wednesday, October 17, to Sunday, November 4, 2012. It will also be on display during the Bizen Ware Festival, so please stop by if you are in the area.
