Hello everyone. Today, I would like to introduce a characterful katakuchi (spouted bowl) by Kei-sensei. Even after being designated as a Living National Treasure, Kei-sensei continued to create many stylish and whimsical pieces. His unconventional charm remains timeless. This piece is also captivating for its light-hearted style, and you can see the strength of Kei-sensei’s artistry in its spirited form. The spout in particular is superb, with its length and handcrafted feel adjusted masterfully. The elegant, extended spout matches perfectly with the sharp design of the base. The rich, viscous hidasuki (fire-cord) markings are a classic Kei-sensei finish, reflecting the quality of the clay and the firing process. size: diameter 19.0cm x 15.1cm x height 8.9cm price: 190,000 JPY For inquiries regarding this piece, please contact us at the following: Tel 0869-67-2210 Fax 0869-67-2220 E-mail : info@tourakuen.jp
