Bizen Sake Bottle by Yasushi Fujiwara

Hello everyone. Today, I would like to introduce a truly adorable sake flask (tokkuri).
This piece was created by Yasushi Fujiwara, the eldest son of the third-generation Rakuzan Fujiwara, a potter who blends traditional techniques with originality.
While the form is similar to that of his salt-kiln fired works, the quality of the clay gives it an entirely different feel.
It features a rich, gentle clay texture, and the small, rounded "marunuke" (circular kiln marks) around the base have a color that looks as if it's melting.
The charming shape, which somewhat brings to mind the jar from the anime *Hakushon Daimaō*, is also lovely.
Combined with its compact size, it really makes for a humorous piece.

size: Rim 4.3cm x Body diameter 9.3cm x 9.2cm x Height 12.0cm
