Hello everyone. Today, I would like to introduce a flower vase that has just been fired in Mr. Kōriki's kiln.
I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it and bought it; the dignified yohen (kiln change) effect is wonderful.
At the same time, it conveys a certain softness reminiscent of raw clay, as if it might stretch if you were to pull on it.
The thick, rich reddish-purple in the "nuke" (uncovered) areas transitions into an orange hue, creating an exquisite, almost melting color palette.
Despite this, it does not overpower the flowers and instead complements them, making it a truly magnificent Bizen ware flower vase.
Size: 14.2cm diameter × 12.9cm diameter × 29.5cm height
Price: 70,000 yen (with tomobako signed wooden box)
