Description

This is a Bizen beer mug by Jumpei Kaneshige, a promising young artist who carries the future of the prestigious Kaneshige family of Bizen ware. While it features a substantial and very large form, the constricted waist makes it fit comfortably in the hand, and it offers the pleasing, moderate weight characteristic of earth-based ceramics. The firing has produced a deep, vivid green "goma" (sesame glaze), and the subtle variations in this glaze showcase the diverse and delicate appeal of Bizen goma. With a generous capacity of approximately 430ml, it would surely make a delightful gift for any beer lover.

Signed wooden box (two-way cross-bar lid)
Diameter 8.2cm x Diameter 8.2cm x Height 15.1cm
