Description

This is a yakishime shochu cup by Hiroyasu Yasuda, who studied under Hiroyuki Wakimoto in Bizen and continues his creative work in Chiba Prefecture using his own unique clay and kiln. It is an intriguing piece where delicacy is harmonized within a powerful form. The solid, stable construction is complemented by smooth, green "goma" (ash glaze) that radiates an inorganic brilliance, infusing delicate beauty into the rugged aesthetic to create a characterful and fascinating landscape. It can be used for shochu, green tea, coffee, or black tea, and in the summer, it also makes a great soba noodle cup. At an affordable price and including a high-quality paulownia wood box, it is an ideal choice for a gift.
