Description
This is a Bizen black sake cup by Yuhito Yamashita, an artist who creates works that are rooted in tradition yet overflow with originality. Based on a *gosedoko* (Go-bowl style) foot, the body features soft, stone-like curves that feel remarkably modern while retaining the earthy quality characteristic of Bizen ware. The addition of black slip enhances its stylish aesthetic. However, it has been thoroughly fired, and the interior is decorated with fine yellow *goma* (sesame) ash glaze and a deep, flavorful *hidasuki* (fire-cord) pattern.
Signed wooden box (with two-way struts)
