Description
These are the latest sake bottles by Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who carries on the tradition of his grandfather, the master sake-ware potter Rokuro Nakamura, and his father, Shin Nakamura, to create works with deep character. The piece features the "henko" (flattened flask) form inherited from Rokuro and Shin, with a persimmon-like scarlet "hi" coloration. The vibrant scarlet, so vivid it almost looks as if it could be sliced with a knife, is a finish that invites you to nurture it as you use the piece, watching how it evolves with each drop of sake. Given the price, construction, and firing, this work is perfect for beginners or as a gift.
